My approach to raw feeding in my cattery

In my cattery nutrition has always been something I pay close attention to. I work with different cats, different lines, different ages and I need to know what really supports their health in the long term
At some point I became interested in raw feeding. Not as a trend but as a way of understanding cats better through what they are biologically
Before I made any changes I studied. I took classes on healthy natural feeding of cats as part of Felinology courses at Campus Felinarium. That gave me a proper base instead of guessing or following opinions online
What I do now comes from that knowledge and from real experience with my own cats
What I noticed in my cats
The first thing I saw was coat quality. Many of my cats developed a cleaner, softer and more glossy coat over time
I also noticed changes in how they eat. Meals feel more natural for them. There is more interest and focus compared to processed food
Digestion also improved in a visible way. Stool became smaller, firmer and less noticeable in smell
What I learned along the way
Raw feeding is not just giving meat. That is something I understood very quickly once I started working with it seriously
It needs balance. Muscle meat, organs and calcium sources all matter. If something is missing the diet is not complete no matter how natural it looks
This is where my Felinology education from Campus Felinarium was very important. It helped me understand structure instead of guessing
Hygiene is another important part. With raw feeding everything has to be clean and organised. Storage handling and preparation are part of daily routine when you are responsible for multiple cats
Each cat also reacts differently. Some adapt immediately some need time and some may not suit it in the same way. I never treat them as the same because they are not
It also takes time. There is preparation involved and there is responsibility behind every meal. It is not a quick feeding method but a considered one
My conclusion as a breeder
For me raw feeding is not about being modern or natural for the sake of it
It is one approach I use based on knowledge observation and experience with my cats
What matters most is not the label of the diet but that each cat is healthy balanced and developing well over time
My studies in Felinology at Campus Felinarium helped me build that understanding properly and apply it in real life with my cattery
